We use Stripe to process payments for event tickets and manage host payouts. When you make a purchase or receive payouts:

Payment Information

  • Credit/debit card details are collected and processed securely by Stripe
  • We do NOT store your full payment card numbers
  • Payment information is encrypted and handled according to PCI-DSS standards
  • Transaction data includes purchase history, amounts, dates, and refund status

Stripe Connect for Hosts

  • Event hosts who accept payments create Stripe Connect accounts
  • Host payout account information is managed by Stripe
  • We receive limited information about host account status and payout eligibility

Financial Data Retention

We retain financial data for legal and business purposes:

  • Transaction records: 7 years (tax and legal compliance requirements)
  • Refund requests: 2 years after resolution
  • Host payout history: Duration of active host account plus 7 years

Tax Information

Hosts may be required to provide tax information (e.g., SSN, EIN) to Stripe for IRS reporting purposes. This information is collected and managed by Stripe, not Lōkahi.
